Remember, also, that while the fruit tree is feminine in gender, the fruits are normally masculine. 8.5- bona discipula - the good female pupil (in English we don't have an equivalent term for discipula or discipulus) discipula is nom. sing. f. whereas discipulus is nom. sing. m. 8.6- miser magister - miserable teacher 8.7- bonum magistrum - the good teacher (dir. object case) magistrum is acc. sing. m., therefore the adjective must also be in the acc. case, and same gender and number.
